Local transport

The longest local distance is around 2.5 hours by car. Most cities in the country are about 1 hour driving from the capital.

Roads are generally OK even though some may be crumbling, and there has been an intensive road reconstruction effort recently. In general, there is little traffic on the main roads connecting the country.

Driving around is easy. There are plenty of lean public transport options including buses, small vans, or shared cab rides.
